We’re all focused on winning six seats and taking the Senate.
The Senate races are proving very interesting as more money pours in to the races and more feet are put in mouths. Here’s a look at some of them.
Republican Cory Gardner is ahead in Colorado (yep, you read that right) and in Alaska Democrat Begich will have to get out EVERY voter to beat Dan Sullivan. GOP candidates are struggling in strongholds like Kansas (Pat Roberts’ same old same old is not cutting it,) South Dakota (floundering candidate) and Kentucky (Mitch McConnell needs to raise his game against Alison Lundergan Grimes who is arguing that after 30 years Mitch represents the Washington Establishment.)
Louisiana could go to the Republicans because the Dem incumbent, Mary Landreiu, is massively corrupt and is being forced to run a defensive campaign. Military vet Joni Ernst needs to go on the offensive against Bruce Braley but either way it’s going to be a squeaker in Iowa. Soros money just entered the two-horse Kansas race so the Independent (Dem-funded) Orman might snatch victory from GOP stalwart Pat Roberts. North Carolina has a three-way with the popular pizza delivery man Libertarian, Sean Haugh, stealing votes from both Kay Hagan (D) and Thom Tillis (R) who have been fighting like alley cats and with as much decorum. New Hampshire’s Jeanne Shaheen was once miles ahead but GOP money, her own stupidity and the growing charm of Scott Brown who suddenly looks less of a carpetbagger and more of a knight in shining armor, has closed the lead to mid-single digits.
It’s going to go to the wire. And we’ll be with you all the way.
