Anthony Mackie walks back Trump endorsement

9364121748_f6da26052e_b“Avengers” actor Anthony Mackie walked back an apparent endorsement of Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump Tuesday by claiming that the whole thing was “Just a bad attempt at a joke”:

After Anthony Mackie told BET that he was impressed by Trump and his campaign, his comments set the internet on fire on Monday. The actor quickly tweeted that he wasn’t serious about throwing his support behind the presidential candidate.

“Sorry Donald, that wasn’t an endorsement. Just a bad attempt at a joke, I guess?” he tweeted.

The Our Brand is Crisis and Captain America star was asked by BET if he’d want to run Trump’s campaign or Hillary Clinton’s, and he chose the former, calling him an “easy sell” to American voters.

Mackie had enthusiastically proclaimed that he was drinking the Trump “Kool-Aid.”

Meanwhile, Trump is still handily leading the Republican pack nationwide.

Mackie has no backbone, I suspect he was threatened by Hollywood elites to keep his mouth shut if he wanted to keep getting jobs in the liberal movie industry. Also by democrat plantation leaders Al Sharpton & Jesse Jackson.
