Republicans often warn that a Hillary Clinton White House would essentially be an extension of the Barack Obama White House. However, over the weekend Clinton told voters that her presidential policies would be much more in line with those of her husband, former President Bill Clinton. In fact, she’d put Bill “in charge of revitalizing the economy”:
“My husband, who I’m going to put in charge of revitalizing the economy, cause you know he knows how to do it,” Clinton told the crowd at a campaign event in Kentucky on Sunday. “And especially in places like coal country and inner cities and other parts of our country that have really been left out.”
And this isn’t the first time she reminded voters in Kentucky about how her husband would help them.
“I’ve told my husband he’s got to come out of retirement and be in charge of this because you know he’s got more ideas a minute than anybody I know,” she said.
Clinton is working overtime to get back in the good graces of coal country, but the damage has been done: nearly half of West Virginia Democratic primary voters said they would vote for Donald Trump over Clinton.
It doesn’t matter whether it’s Bill or Hillary: America doesn’t want another Clinton in the White House.
