Fantastic: DNC platform committee member doesn’t think ‘anyone should have a gun’

Hillary Clinton has been elusive on whether she supports the individual right to keep and bear arms, but Bonnie Schaefer, a member of the Democratic National Committee’s Platform Committee, is clear: she doesn’t think “anyone should have a gun”:

“I really don’t personally think anyone should have a gun,” Bonnie Schaefer, former Claire’s Stores CEO and North Carolina resort and spa owner, said. “I mean that’s just my own philosophy.”

Schaefer proceeded to argue that nothing good can come from having guns available to the public.

“Nothing is ever solved when you have a gun in your hand, except the worst possible scenario,” she added.

Schaefer’s comments came during a discussion about gun violence in relation to the Democratic Party’s 2016 platform at the Mid-Atlantic Democratic Platform Forum in Washington, D.C.

She did not mention the Second Amendment or the possibility of self-defense in her response.

I wonder if Ms. Schaefer is aware that there will be armed security present at the DNC convention.

I expect her to demand that the security personnel (including police) at the convention be unarmed.

Then that needs to start at the top. Have Obama line up the best spitters he can find. Let’s see how well-protected he is with that.

I just do not understand what these people are thinking, they throw the Constitution in our face every chance they get, and I am talking about both Parties, but when it comes to something either party wants then the Constitution seems to be twisted into what they want.
What part of ‘It shall not be infringed upon” do the people not understand, like how can New York say you can not opwn a gun when the Federal Constitution states that everyne can own a gun.

And I don’t think you should have a job in government. Maybe we can come to an agreement…like where you leave your job and everyone else goes on about their business?
Your comment has less credibility than the insulated, sissified late night hosts. Except that I can turn THEM off.
