According to the Washington Post, Sen. Marco Rubio has changed his mind to exit politics and will make his Senate reelection bid official on Wednesday. More from Townhall:
Last week, when rumors started circulating about Rubio’s change of heart, Rep. David Jolly decided drop out of the Florida Senate race and run for reelection for his House seat instead. When asked why, Jolly candidly said, “Marco is saying he is getting in.”
In an interview with Fox News’ Chris Wallace on Wednesday, Rubio candidly said he’d “changed his mind.”
Rubio added that he’s running because, no matter who wins the White House in November, the Senate will play an important role as a check and balance for the “bad ideas” of the president.
