Remember last year’s Super Bowl halftime show, when Beyonce paid an in-your-face tribute to the militant Black Panther party during the height of the Black Lives Matter frenzy? Well, whiny progressives are upset that Lady Gaga, who performed this year’s Super Bowl halftime show, didn’t follow suit and also send an overtly political message that would have undoubtedly alienated at least half the country.

But never fear, special snowflakes! While Lady Gaga may have opted to give us normal humans a welcome respite from politics, the Super Bowl commercials were chock full of political messaging. Multi-billion dollar companies like AirBnB and Coca-Cola rolled out ads that couldn’t have hammered home the pro-immigration (anti-sovereignty?) message harder if they tried. In fact, 84 Lumber’s pro-immigration ad was deemed too controversial for television.
