Trump slams Obama judge over sanctuary city ruling

Today, the rule of law suffered another blow, as an unelected judge unilaterally rewrote immigration policy for our Nation. Federal law explicitly states that “a Federal, State or Local government entity or official may not prohibit, or in any way restrict, any government entity or official from sending to, or receiving from, the Immigration and Naturalization Service information regarding the citizenship or immigration status, lawful or unlawful, of any individual.”  8 U.S.C. 1373(a).  That means, according to Congress, a city that prohibits its officials from providing information to federal immigration authorities — a sanctuary city — is violating the law.   Sanctuary cities, like San Francisco, block their jails from turning over criminal aliens to Federal authorities for deportation.  These cities are engaged in the dangerous and unlawful nullification of Federal law in an attempt to erase our borders.

Once again, a single district judge — this time in San Francisco — has ignored Federal immigration law to set a new immigration policy for the entire country.  This decision occurred in the same sanctuary city that released the 5-time deported illegal immigrant who gunned down innocent Kate Steinle in her father’s arms.  San Francisco, and cities like it, are putting the well-being of criminal aliens before the safety of our citizens, and those city officials who authored these policies have the blood of dead Americans on their hands.  This San Francisco judge’s erroneous ruling is a gift to the criminal gang and cartel element in our country, empowering the worst kind of human trafficking and sex trafficking, and putting thousands of innocent lives at risk.

This case is yet one more example of egregious overreach by a single, unelected district judge.  Today’s ruling undermines faith in our legal system and raises serious questions about circuit shopping.  But we are confident we will ultimately prevail in the Supreme Court, just as we will prevail in our lawful efforts to impose immigration restrictions necessary to keep terrorists out of the United States.

In the meantime, we will pursue all legal remedies to the sanctuary city threat that imperils our citizens, and continue our efforts to ramp up enforcement to remove the criminal and gang element from our country.  Ultimately, this is a fight between sovereignty and open borders, between the rule of law and lawlessness, and between hardworking Americans and those who would undermine their safety and freedom.

  • I wonder if these liberal trolls, cupcakes, societal misfits see the dangers in open borders and allowing tens of Thousands of illegals into the country. Let them look at the chaos in Europe and justify that say that is acceptabel. Look at the thousands of illegal minors who have now morphed into MS-13 causing death and terror in neighborhoods. Ignoring facrs and truth the left’s motto.

  • Fred Mitchell

I do not understand how a judge can overrule the govt. on any matter, let alone a single liberal meathead in San Francisco make rules that affect the entire nation. It is time for the POTUS and his team to rid the system of every single Obama holdover. 10,000 scab asses out of work would save the govt. a lot of money.

    • Cherie Wood

I’ve run into several cities here in California that they have their rule of law and they even Trump the state law when it comes to their jurisdiction ie sanctuary

      • ctroop

I’m not surprised by anything … no matter how absurd and anti-American … you tell me about what is going on in California. But Federal Law TRUMPS (no pun intended) any state, county or city laws. Sanctuary cities (and states) are Federal Law violators and every city, and state official supporting should be arrested, convicted and imprisoned … hopefully in the same prisons (and in the same cells) as any illegal aliens in residence there.

    • daves

The government cannot create unconstitutional laws.

      • ctroop

daves … You must be talking about those state and city governments that are inventing the “sanctuary” from immigration enforcement concept.

  • LarryD2

Congress is responsible for establishing these courts (Article 3, Section 1 of the US Constitution). They can determine what types of cases these courts may hear (Article 3, Section 2). It is time for Congress to assert their responsibilities and tell these courts that are writing their own federal and State laws to stand down.

  • Doreen Giesbrecht

This judge, probably paid off by the Democrats, is really breaking the law. How can he say that illegals are legal? What about the laws of the land and the constitution. somebody better get these Democratic Communist judges tuned up!

    • ctroop

Doreen … You are talking about judicial activist judges (anti-American leftists all) who believe that our Constitution is a “living document” … which, to them, means that they can “interpret” the Constitution to mean whatever they want it to mean at any given and convenient moment. All such rulings based on their perverted interpretations must be not only ignored but actively and aggressively disobeyed!!!

      • Doreen Giesbrecht

Thank you… I can only sadly agree with you. What is happening to our laws and our country??

  • Ryan Cluts

Stop sending federal money to California until they get back in line.

  • Cherie Wood

It was Obama that brought in all of the federal judge and all of the superior court judge state level. Well he’s an ass everybody knows it and we got to pray that we can undo this

    • ctroop

Cherie Wood … You are, for the most part right on target. But unfortunately, some of our Federal court judges who are just as much as “dirty” as the liberal ones, were appointed by both Bush presidents, and were appointed because they were supposedly “constitutionalists” but started showing their true colors AFTER their appointments.

  • Dennis Anderson

This is where our 9 trillion dollars went in the pockets of these political pupets? Why isnt somebody looking into where our money went? Its not that hard to guess who took it.

  • Fred Mitchell

It’s amazing to me that a person can swear an oath to uphold the constitution, put on a black robe and make his own laws. Isn’t the AG supposed to be our nations highest law enforcement official, surrounded by 100-300 attorneys? Strip these Obama plants of their robes, disbar them for life, seize their retirements, and kick them into the streets, or better yet, send them to Syria or Somalia on an all expense paid 9 month vacation. Let them live the Muslim lifestyle they so obviously embrace.

God created all of us with the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

    • SFCUSARMYRET

Go to Mexico and state all of your views. Try to buy Mexican land. Find a job! Go to Mexico and insult THEIR federal immigration laws.

And God also gave us the power of self defense against foreign invaders. Buck up buttercup, You are holding the proverbial s#!tty end of the stick, hope you like it. Still having issues with your Trump election dementia? Wasn’t it YOUR candidate that said going against a potus that was fairly elected was treasonous?

Better yet, go to the ME and spout off with your views. I’m sure you’ll be warmly received and subsequently beheaded, burned alive or thrown off the top of a building. Your “liberal disease” is a cancer on America.

      • daves

Wow, I quote the Declaration of Independence and you go all ballistic on me. Do you hate the founders?

        • ctroop

daves … Nobody hates the founders more than the lying, self-deceived leftist traitors in black robes and the liberal sh!t-heads who appointed them. We all agree that, “…God created all of us with the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness…” However, you don’t even need the brains of a full-grown idiot to realize that God did NOT create “all of us” with the right to have their lives and their liberty and their right to pursue their happiness HERE in the United States!

    • ctroop

      daves … And your point is ? ? ? ? ? ?

      • daves

It is immoral to threaten deportation causing a rape victim to be too frightened to call the police.

        • SFCUSARMYRET

I hope you fall off that tall pedestal you have put yourself on. I have read your rhetoric before. Wasn’t amused then and even less now. What about the poor 5 yo girl molested, videoed and urinated on by immigrant boys? Where are her rights? The left tried to persecute her and her family! Kate Stienel and so many other Americans raped, murdered, abused, robbed and the list goes on and on.

          • daves

The incident was not a rape, the girl was not murdered, the boys involved were not Syrian, a knife was not used, and no “language barrier” prevented police from investigating or detaining two boys involved.

          • SFCUSARMYRET

About the 5 yo girl, did I say rape? NO. Did I say Syrain? NO. Did I mention anything about a language barrier? NO. But, your little snippet from snopes is supposed to be Gods answer! I’ve done your work for you, see below…

Here below are the facts since you like snippets so much. They are not my words, they are what was actually reported. Not from an erroneous fact check site run by two leftists.

Three boys, ages 7, 10 and 14, were detained. The youngest boy is from Iraq, while the older two, brothers, are from Eritrea, an African nation. They were previously described as being from Sudan.
One boy pleaded guilty to felony sexual exploitation of a child and misdemeanor battery. Another pleaded guilty to aiding and abetting felony lewd conduct and aiding and abetting misdemeanor battery. The third pleaded guilty to being an accessory to the commission of a felony.
A video of a Twin Falls council meeting shows irate residents demanding to know why council members have done nothing to address the alleged rape, as well as numerous other issues involving Muslim refugees being housed in the area, including hit and run incidents and Muslims spitting on non-Muslims.
Around 50 “refugees” are reportedly housed at the Fawnbrook site.
Council members were also grilled as to how a mosque was approved after just 24 hours, whereas a new home application would take at least 2 weeks just to process.
In every instance, the council members claim ignorance as to the severity of the situation, with one even suggesting that residents’ concerns are based on anti-Muslim prejudice and even white supremacism.

          • daves

You’re right. Posting the Snopes text was a poor response to your post.

I should have said that your stories don’t prove anything. You have no proof that immigrants commit more crimes than Americans and that a couple anecdotal stories is no reason to deny so many the refugee opportunity they need to survive.

          • SFCUSARMYRET

News and facts are now “stories”! Ancedotal? Are you serious… You are absofrigginlutely DERANGED. Did I say they commit more crimes? NO. They believe they are above western law and that only their shariah law applies. Stop trying to add things to what I have said.

What is the percentage of refugee women/children to men? Most of the so called men are of fighting age. If they want REAL change, send them back to their country of origin and let them fight for it! Why don’t you try a new “reset button” on the arab spring that Obama and Clinton started.

          • daves

You’re basing that on the actions of three little boys?

I live in Minneapolis where we have thousands of law abiding Muslims who I interact with every day.

          • SFCUSARMYRET

And which mosque is it that you attend? You’re a normal everyday democrat. Blind in one eye and can’t see out of the other. Why is it you are so willing to give up this nations sovereignty in lieu of Islam and socialism? What is your motivation? Globalization? Your NWO/OWO? Obama’s OFA? To be ruled by the Soros and Builderburgs of the world? If the lemmings had a king, it would be you… Off the cliff you go!

          • daves

I am not willing to give up on this country’s founding principles no matter how bigoted you are,

          • SFCUSARMYRET

You’ve already done it moron… Bigot eh? I’d rather be a bigot towards an enemy than a traitor to my own people (of EVERY color) and country like you.

          • daves

Thankfully we have a Constitution to protect against people like you and President Trump.

          • SFCUSARMYRET

You’re such a piece of liberal filth… Your “dear leader” Obama called the Constitution a worthless piece of paper. That is until he needs it, then he claims to be a Constitutional scholar. Same as you. Two faced turncoats, one and all.

Please don’t respond anymore, seeing your responses is starting to make me ill to think that someone who would call themselves an American and hide under the same umbrella that so many of my brothers and sisters have fought and died for is beyond sickening, it is putrid. I’ve cleaned better than you off the sole of my boots.

If you find a rock to hide under, please make sure it is heavy enough to finish the job. Liberal scum of the earth! No better than the terrorists that kill innocents all around the world. I hope this Irks you to no end, GOD BLESS AMERICA and Good bye.

          • daves

When did I ever say the Constitution is a worthless piece of paper? President Obama never said it either. You are a liar.

  • Fred Mitchell

But, the laws are on the books. Look them up. Immigrants are supposed to be NO burden on the govt., self sustaining, be educated and able to contribute to society. The POTUS has the authority to deny entry to anyone he feels is a threat to the country. Illegals are illegals, period. The justice dept.and The Dept. of Homeland have the right to deny funds to States, localities, and agencies which do not uphold the law.

    • ctroop

Fred Mitchell … Everybody knows that what you just posted is absolutely correct. Even the leftist, judicial activist traitors who are making these unconstitutional and illegal rulings. A really good Executive Order could get ALL these A-holes arrested. They should be publically executed, but unfortunately my dreams are so much larger than my abilities.

  • ctroop

I personally don’t see why President Trump and the AG should be in the least bit concerned. They should go ahead and defund the sanctuary cities and send in heavily armed Federal Agents … and the United States Army … to each and every sanctuary city … one at a time … and physically (and publically) ARREST every sanctuary city mayor and every sanctuary city council member and ANY state governor, and (especially) ANY judge (state or federal) for hindering and/or obstructing the enforcement of our federal immigration laws!

And while ALL this is going on, the current administration should IGNORE these bogus, unconstitutional (and illegal) “rulings” and PROCEED with the visa bans, the deportations AND the de-fundings! The subject matter jurisdiction (and even the geographical jurisdiction if need be) of these tin-pot, liberal, judicial activist A-Holes needs to be totally redefined!

A special Executive Order should be released that would make the “interpretation” of our Constitution to means anything other than what it actually says when we read it, a just cause for permanent disbarment and permanent removal from the bench!

Fred Mitchell is absolutely, constitutionally and morally correct!
