Trump Establishes Panel to Probe Voter Fraud

President Donald Trump signed an executive order Thursday establishing a panel to investigate voter fraud, a commission he first talked about in early February.

The president named Vice President Mike Pence to lead the Presidential Advisory Commission on Election Integrity, and named a bipartisan group of members that includes chief state election officials.

“The president is committed to the thorough review of registration and voting issues in federal elections and that’s exactly what this commission is tasked with doing,” White House deputy press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said at a press briefing Thursday after Trump signed the order.

She later added:

The commission will review policies and practices that enhance or undermine the American people’s confidence in the integrity of federal elections and provide the president with a report that identifies system vulnerabilities that lead to improper registrations and voting. We expect the report will be complete by 2018. The experts and officials on this commission will follow the facts where they lead. Meetings and hearings will be open to the public for comments and input.

Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach, a Republican, will be the vice chairman under Pence. Indiana Secretary of State Connie Lawson will also be on the commission, as will New Hampshire Secretary of State Bill Gardner, a Democrat, and Maine Secretary of State Matthew Dunlap, a Democrat. The commission will also include former Ohio Secretary of State Ken Blackwell, a Republican, and U.S. Elections Assistance Commission member Christie McCormick.

Other members will be named at a later date.

Trump has asserted he would have won the popular vote in the 2016 presidential election had it not been for illegal votes cast. However, he hasn’t provided direct evidence. According to a study by Jesse Richman, an associate professor of political science at Old Dominion University, hundreds of thousands of noncitizens could have voted in the November election.

Based on an extrapolation of previous election studies, Richman determined more than 800,000 noncitizens likely voted in the 2016 presidential race, significant, but not nearly enough to overcome Hillary Clinton’s popular vote victory.

The commission is facing some opposition.

“This commission is a sham and distraction,” Michael Waldman, president of the Brennan Center for Justice, a liberal legal group based at the New York University School of Law, said in a public statement.

“It’s simply an effort to try and find proof of the president’s absurd claim that 3-5 million people voted illegally in November. It tries to pivot from the fact that this week Trump fired the chief law enforcement officer in charge of probing whether his advisers colluded with Russia to influence our elections. He fired the person investigating a real threat to election integrity, and set up a probe of an imaginary threat.”

However, since 2016, there have been cases of voter fraud in North Carolina, Nevada, Ohio, Illinois, Colorado and Wyoming, said Logan Churchwell, spokesman for the Public Interest Legal Foundation, a voter integrity group.

“This order is a step in the right direction in response to widespread concern about failures in our election systems that can lead to fraud and other irregularities,” Churchwell said in a public statement. “The issues of faulty voter registration procedures and record maintenance are ripe for review. Perennial questions surrounding the actual scope of ineligible voters and their rates of participation can only be answered when federal offices share information.”

Trump’s executive order says:

The commission shall be solely advisory and shall submit a report to the President that identifies the following:

(a) those laws, rules, policies, activities, strategies, and practices that enhance the American people’s confidence in the integrity of the voting processes used in Federal elections;

(b) those laws, rules, policies, activities, strategies, and practices that undermine the American people’s confidence in the integrity of the voting processes used in Federal elections; and

(c) those vulnerabilities in voting systems and practices used for Federal elections that could lead to improper voter registrations and improper voting, including fraudulent voter registrations and fraudulent voting.

There is a retired Army Lt Col at the Legion, who voted for Trump in three states he owns property in Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Florida. He is at Republican like me and I am sure there are many more who do the same. Like in the Trump family. Voter fraud has been around since voting and it is in both parties, I also am sure it is so small as not to make a difference in the outcome of a National Election.

Judicial Watch had done a lot of research on this and continues to this day, Project Veritas another. Maybe just maybe you should realize how many illegals and dead people still vote. As for Republicans, you don’t see them bragging about it as was discovered by project veritas in a video about democrats. What you don’t know won’t hurt you? Remember that there are at least 11,000,000 illegals in this country and most are going to vote for Democrats. Maybe you should see the Democrat Mentality by getting a Catholic Documentary, “A Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing”, Arcadia Films about what communist and socialist leaders told their people to do. Remember that Human Life is precious and realize that the Democratic National Chair said you can’t be a Democrat and support Pro-Life. One issue that tells the whole story about honesty and integrity as to whether you will do what is right. It is the one issue that covers thousands of issues when you look at our platform as a Republican.

I have been a republican for 60+ years and nothing Project Veritas puts out even closely resembles the across the board facts in my day it was called Cherry Picking. I do realize how many dead people who are still on the registers but that does not mean they vote.
There is a huge difference between being registered and voting. I will also concede that there was a small number of illegals who voted. I was in the USA Intelligence community for 26 years, and see right through the BS you call facts from biased sources. Each party puts out their facts about a subject and in most cases some of it is true most is twisted facts or parts that make the story true are omitted. Most of the illegals are not going to vote because they can not even register, in nearly every state you have to prove citizenship to register to vote, a Federal mandated drivers license you even have to prove citizenship, go on your computer and see what is required in your state to even get Food Stamps, in most states you have to prove Citizenship to even get Social Services.
I know all about the program of Republican I have been one for over 60+ years and it is not what the platform for Republicans used to be, the party in the 1950s would never support anyone with Trumps past record of business dealing and mob connections, we were the party of TRUTH AND HONEST, not any more, more like liars and con men.
There are just as many Republicans who support abortion as there are Democrats it is just that the party puts in the radicals not the people who are just the run of life.
          HAVE A GOOD DAY

And I think you are not who you say you are. No they would not support what Trump was nor am I the I was when I first went to College. I joined the Republican Party and became a Precinct Chair supporting the Texas Platform and yes we have people like Joe Straus who is the obstacle about stopping support for Planned Parenthood. Are you a precinct chair, county Chair. Do you really know anyone in the Republican Party. I have met and question Ted Cruz one of my Senators. I know where my Rep. stands on the issue do you know yours? Been there done that. I lived in a town in the early days when you have to be a democrat to get elected. We are just beginning to hold candidates feet to the fire. We did not support Trump because he was an angel. I too was a nominal Christian as he was. A Presbyterian as He is but met a Spiritfilled Christian and the Peace of God flowed off of him and I had to have that experience.(The Bible persons became real to me for the first time and have lived with the Holy Spirit leading me into all truth for 44 years). Do you know what it really means to be Baptized in the Holy Spirit, well I do. We are having more Democrats join the Republican Party because of the plans Trump has laid out. He has been surrounding himself with real Christians and is acting on what he promised. The Bushes did not do that but he has. I got involved on the Grassroots level when the Christian Coalition showed we Christians in Texas. As you know Project Veritas was only allowed to investigate 4 counties in one state, multiply that by a hundreds. Also judicial watch confirm at least a million illegal democrat votes. I suggest that you get some of the materials of the Judicial Watch who have been successful in getting information about voting records using the foia procedures. Maybe you want to read their newsletters that they send out monthly. By them we have gotten lots of info about Hillary, Obama, and other Characters in the the Democratic Party. How about getting a copy of the DVD “A Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing” about Obama and Hillary’s mentor Saul Alinsky which in it, it explains how leadership in the the Socialist and Communist Parties told their people not to call themselves Socialists and communists but call themselves liberals, progressives and Democrats because that sounds more lovable or so says Bella Dodd who used to be a Communist and returned to her Catholic Faith who exposed this info by Alexander Trachtenberg and Norman Thomas and this began in the 40’s. This was produced by the Catholics so it is non-partisan. You can guess but it is nice to have documentation or is that a problem for you?

I know who I am but I would suspect you do not know much about the Constitution or the people who0 wrote it , when you start bringing Religion into Government. The Quote of Ben Franklin, “Religion belongs in the temple and into the hearts of the believers but never in Government

          • Dexter L. Wilson

I would have to say you do not know your Consitution as well as you think you do. I can help you with that. there is a Series on TV provided on TBN by David Barton called “Foundations of Freedom”. Then there is another Set of DVD’s called “Constitution Alive”. You can find them at your local Christian Book Store. By the way, I would suggest you get a Copy of William Federer’s “America’s God and Country”. Also you should get “Original Intent” By David Barton. Ben Franklin also at the Constitutional Convention stood up at the Convention when they were all going to go home and Live under the Articles of Confederation and stated unless the Lord builds the house the laborer labor in vain which is a scripture, and called for that body to pray and fast. They prayed every day they worked on that Constitution. God said if you acknowledge me in all your way I will direct your path. Maybe Robert that is why that Constitution is the oldest in the world supposedly still being used today. By the way 1/3rd of that Constitution came from the Bible directly and the other 2/3rd’s came from People like Blackstone who quoted from the Bible as well as the material provided from “2 Treatises on Civil Government” which quotes the Bible over 500 times. By the way Ben also started a Bible society and so did at least a third of the Constitutional Conventioneers. You ever want to know why we have Republican form of government, you might just look at where Moses received the idea of having representatives of 10’s, 100’s, at cetera. As for Thomas Jefferson, he started a church in his home town that met in the City Government building and hired the local evangelist to be the pastor. And so how much history has been left out of our present children’s history books. By the way a really good book on more historical information about our founders intent concerning Christianity, you might want to get a copy of David Barton’s book “Original Intent” or his series of DVD’s called the American Heritage Series”. What I really liked about Jefferson the year before he became president, He and the leader of the Senate started church services in both the Congress and in the Supreme Court (which was in the basement at that time) and it was for Sunday services for both locations and lasted some 60 years. He attended those services in the Congressional Chambers as long as he was president. The only reason that those services ended, well it was during the civil war and due to lack of interest and not by some ACLU. Oh by the way you might find it interesting the miracles that occurred that protected this nation and that is in Susie Federer’s Book “Miracles in American History.

  • Clete Tacker

The socialist liberals will NEVER go for “common sense” voter ID laws, it would make it far more difficult for them to cheat come election time.
