Arizona Senator Jeff Flake, who co-sponsored gun control legislation, may soon be out of a job if the results of a recent poll are accurate.
Flake trails challenger Dr. Kelli Ward in the Republican primary by a stunning 25 points, a JMC Analytics survey finds.
Ward leads Flake 47 percent to 21 percent, with 29 percent undecided and 3 percent breaking for Trump campaign activist Nicholas Tutora.
Trump has harshly criticized Flake as “weak on borders, crime, and a non-factor in the Senate,” and has met with Ward.
“Great to see that Dr. Kelli Ward is running against Flake Jeff Flake, who is WEAK on borders, crime and a non-factor in Senate. He’s toxic!,” Trump tweeted.
The poll of 500 Republican households finds 67 percent have an unfavorable opinion of Flake, and 66 percent believe someone else should be the Party’s nominee for Senate.
